How we can help you support your child through their bereavement

A Memory box is a special place to safely store cherished items. We believe it should be beautifully created, durable and worthy of the items it holds

We can help your Child design their own Memory Box

Our large Memory Boxes are unique. The Child’s own memories, pictures and captured moments are central to the creation of their bespoke Memory Box. We can use images that remind them of their brother, sister, or parent, including photographs and drawings they may have created together.

Every Child in the family can design their own Memory Box and make it special to them, we can add up to 25  beautiful images in the design to create their individual Memory Box. Our design team can layer photos over different backgrounds and we can accommodate most requests. We provide a proof of the design to be approved by the child prior to the manufacture of the Memory Box. We can make any changes the Child wishes until we have the exact design they love, that brings life to their creation. The choices are limitless.

Once your Child has the exact design they want, we will create their precious Memory Box. Here you can find a gallery of some designs that have been personalised by using a selection of family photographs……….

Each Bespoke Memory Box and Memory Bear cost the charity around £200. The Memory Boxes are delivered directly to the family home. We do not charge for any of our services and are funded by public donations.

Our large A4 wooden Memory Boxes and Bears are supplied to bereaved Children under the age of 25yrs. These Memory Boxes are supplied to families through bereavement service referrals, and we do not sell boxes directly. However, we can sometimes facilitate the purchase of a memory box for other family members via our supplier.

If you have a child who would like a Memory Box but please contact us or talk to your bereavement professional.

The Harvey Hext Trust is a national charity that was originally created to help support bereaved Children, to keep alive their precious, loving memories of their brothers and sisters by supplying bespoke, personalised, durable wooden Memory Boxes and beautiful Memory Bears as a legacy to their lives.

We are now also finding that bereavement support professionals are turning to our Memory Boxes and Memory Bears, to help the children come to terms with the loss of a Parent and to support them with the grief that brings.

We rely solely on your generosity to create these unique gifts that help children keep alive those cherished memories. To leave a donation, please visit our JustGiving page.
